Limit your aid to one soul at a time. Be mindful of those that are abusive in their calls for help. Family and friends included. Instruct them to help themselves. It is utterly OK to expect something from them in return. That will also empower the individual you are helping.

Take on one issue at a time. You can very easily give in to stress if you extend yourself too thin. It's o.k. to acknowledge your limitations. Don't over extend yourself.

There are a lot of things that cause stress. Take stock of your life and observe where your stress is coming from. Then take deciding action to thin that stress. You may have to vary some habits, you may even have to modify how you experience things. Diminishing your level of stress should take first place of the order of importance.
